Angela Hunte is a singer-songwriter from Brooklyn, New York, with Trinidadian roots. Angela has always been passionate about music, having spent her childhood in Trinidad & Tobago and fueled her dreams of performing on big stages! Angela’s talent for crafting catchy hooks and demos became widely recognized after she moved to Brooklyn. This led to collaborations with renowned artists such as Nas, Snoop Dogg, and  Machel Montano, to name a few. She has written hit songs for megastars like Rihanna, Melanie Fiona, Britney Spears, Melissa Etheridge, Danity Kane, and many others. Perhaps her most famous work is co-writing “Empire State of Mind,” performed by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, which won her a Grammy award. 

Angela has a huge surprise for her fans: three new music projects to be released in 2024! A highly anticipated Soca EP to be released at the end of Q1, her studio album “Mango,” slated to release in early summer, and Her Steel Pan Project Album in October 2024, All-encompassing a reflection of her musical journey and includes collaborations with industry legends like Wyclef Jean and production by a team of Grammy-winning producers. Angela will also put on her executive producer and hosting hat as she is poised to bring her creative talents to the screen.
